"Traffic Massive" is a 5 min shadow puppet presentation related to the traffic crisis in Cairo Egypt. Khalil will present this portable performance in conjunction with her proposal on a corporeal solution toward peace.  Experiential differences between the West and the Middle East will be explored in the presentation and post-discussion.

Rania Khalil is a multi-media artist, writer and director of the movement theatre group Rania Khalil & Co. Her performance work has been shown in such places New York's Judson Church, Richard Foreman's Ontological-Hysteric Theater and internationally in settings like South Korea?s International Federation for Theatre Research, Performance Studies International Copenhagen 2008 and Utopia Station curated by Molly Nesbit and Hans-Ulrich Obrist. The company's most recent performance project, Between the Shadows was a collection of silent physical theater vignettes using media, object and shadow puppetry. 

Ms. Khalil's current projects turn to experimental television and continued writing in non-fiction. She is currently in residence in Cairo Egypt.
